 PURPOSE/AIM
 

1. Provide practical review of the anatomy and anatomical variants of the paranasal sinuses utilizing cross sectional imaging and pictorial illustration. 2. Describe anatomic relationships and names of structures within and surrounding the paranasal sinuses and their clinical/radiological relevance with regards to disease processes.

  
 CONTENT ORGANIZATION
 

We review and highlight the normal and variant anatomy of the paranasal sinuses as well as the anatomical relationships of the surrounding structures to provide the radiologist with a useful pictorial and imaging reference. This electronic exhibit allows the reader to review the anatomy utilizing computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging datasets that can be scrolled through interactively. We demonstrate key anatomy and highlight the clincal importance of each anatomical structure.

  
 SUMMARY
 

The anatomy of the paranasal sinuses and the adjacent structures is reviewed utilizing interactive scrollable computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging. The clinical relevance of each anatomical region is highlighted as the anatomy is reviewed. This exhibit provides tips for recognizing key anatomical relationships that will aid in characterization of paranasal sinus lesions.
