 PURPOSE/AIM
 
1. To demonstrate the imaging features of post-Whipple’s abdomen on Computed Tomography (CT) and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) 2. To illustrate the common and rare post-operative complications of Whipple’s procedure (WP).
  
 CONTENT ORGANIZATION
 
This pictorial review describes and illustrates: 1. The indications and surgical techniques of WP 2. CT and MR appearances of the different anastomosis, stents and drains involved in WP 3. Appearances of the jejunal loop with emphasis on how to differentiate from local recurrence 4. Immediate and late postoperative complications ranging from leaks and collections to internal hernias 5. Features of local recurrence
  
 SUMMARY
 
Radiological interpretation of the post-surgical abdomen is very much dependant on our understanding of the surgical procedure and familiarity with the imaging features. This pictorial essay reinforces the pearls and pitfalls in the Imaging of post- Whipple’s patients with emphasis on: 1. Differentiating the normal postoperative appearances from recurrence 2. Identification of early and late complications
